Wednesday's SBQ is:
Do you or have you stitched with over-dyed threads? (Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art Sampler Threads, Six Strand Sweets, etc.) If so, what is your opinion concerning them? If not, why not?
My answer:
Yes, I love them!
I've tried many different types: Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art, Crescent Colours, Six Strand Sweets, Rainbow Gallery, Olde Willow Stitchery...
I have noticed the some of them, like CC and GAST, have more matted colors; other threads, like SSS or Olde, are more brilliant.
I prefer the firsts for antique patterns, like LHN, and the seconds for modern charts. Anyway, it's not a rule. I'm stitching the LK flips with GAST and WDW.
I often convert DMC to over-dyed threads by myself!
