Ma possibile che io sia sempre in ritardo con i post?!
Prima che finisca il mese, devo mostrarvi i bei regali che ho ricevuto per il mio compleanno, che per la cronaca è stato esattamente tre settimane fa.

Before the month ends, I have to show you the beautiful gifts I received for my birthday, which - for the record - was exactly three weeks ago.

Questo è l'angolo della mia cucina aggiornato, con un nuovo barattolo "Tea" firmato Luxe Lodge e una gallinella contenitore a pois, bellissimi regali del mio amato fidanzato.
This is the corner of my kitchen updated with a new "Tea" can signed Luxe Lodge and a polka dots hen container, beautiful gifts for my beloved fiance.

Per i miei ospiti di quel giorno avevo preparato una nuova ricetta, gentilmente presentata dal mio Folletto degli auguri Egan, regalo di mio papà: i cuori di mela, ricetta di Sara.
For my guests of that day I cooked a new recipe, kindly introduced by my Egan's Wishes Elf, a gift from my dad: apple cookies, recipe by Sara.

Giacché sarebbe ripartito l'indomani, mio padre mi ha appeso tutte le mensoline che mi aveva preparato: questa in sala, su cui potete vedere già posizionati i personaggi Thun...

... e il portaformine. Il cosa?, direte voi. Be', era una mensolina deliziosa ma un po' troppo stretta per i barattoli, così ho pensato di sfruttarla per mettere le formine per i biscotti, che non so mai come sistemare.
... and Molds holder. The what?, you say. Well, the shelf was cute but a bit too tight for the cans, so I thought I'd use it to take the molds for cookies I never know where to put.

Avete notato le mie formine nuove? Sissi, le ho comprate all'inizio dell'anno su Plurimix point e mi sono arrivate in un lampo. Chissà se indovinate a cosa serve quello stretto e piccolo al centro....
Have you noticed my new molds? I bought in the first days of January on Plurimix point and they came in a flash. I wonder if you can guess what is it the small and tight one in the center...

Summer 2010 - Home shopping and improvements

Continuo con i miei post chilometrici sull'estate appena trascorsa, e come promesso ecco la parte che riguarda la casa: piccoli o grandi acquisti, approfittando di varie offerte e/o promozioni, di cui uno che non potevo procrastinare oltre: l'armadio per la camera. Partiamo proprio da questo: dopo il 2007, dalla ristrutturazione cioè, non ho più avuto un armadio vero e proprio in camera, giacché quello originale era troppo grande e rovinato dietro ed è stato quindi smantellato. Alla fine (!!) mi son decisa, e l'abbiamo acquistato e montato.

I continue with my infininte posts about the summer just passed, and as promised here is the part about the house: small or large purchases, taking advantage of various offers and/or promotions, one could not been procrastinated further: the wardrobe fot my bedroom. Let's start with this: after 2007, the year of restructuring, I have not had a real wardrobe, since the original was too big and ruined back, and it was then dismantled. At the end (!) I have chosen one, and we have purchased and installed it.

Altro acquisto doverso e improcrastinabile son state delle nuove sedie per lo studio: queste sono quelle che mi son piaciute di più, con una bella seduta comoda in paglia, uno schienale della giusta altezza e un vezzo country. I cuscini li ho presi all'ex Castorama di Pescara, in svendita. Nanà le ha inaugurate subito.
Another improcrastinabile purchase were these new chairs for the study: these are the ones that I've liked the most, with a nice comfortable thatched sitting, a back of the right height and a country look. New puffy pillows too. Nana has suddenly used it.

Sempre per la casa, anche per il mio personale piacere e gusto, ecco gli acquisti fatti in questi mesi da Pandora, un delizioso negozietto shabby chic scovato per caso a Sulmona. E se volete farvi un giretto virtuale nelle sue meraviglie, in questo post di Gilda trovate un po' di belle foto.
Devo ringraziare la mia amica Elena che mi ha fatto scoprire la Luxe Lodge, questa linea di porcellane americane regalandomene ben due esemplari lo scorso Natale.
In ordine cronologico, al primo acquisto ho approfittato dei saldi e ho preso questa meravigliosa teiera, e un paio di altre cosette.
Also for the home, even for my personal pleasure and taste, let me show the purchases I've made in recent months by Pandora, a beautiful shabby chic store discovered by chance in Sulmona. And if you want to make a virtual tour in its wonders, Gilda has posted some beautiful pictures.
I have to thank my friend Elena, who gifted me two items of Luxe Lodge, this beautiful American porcelains last Christmas. In chronological order, in the first purchase I took advantage of sales and I got this wonderful teapot, two dotted chicken candles, a bird ornament and a ladybug magnet.

Anche per il secondo acquisto ho approfittato della promozione su queste fantastiche tazze, ma avevo poco tempo e non mi sono potuta trattenere di più (fortunatamente per il mio portafoglio).
Also for the second purchase I took advantage of promotions on these fantastic cups, but I had no time and I have not been able to staymore (fortunately for my wallet).

Al terzo acquisto avevo decisamente più tempo e me la sono scialata guardando e riguardando ogni articolo: ho trovato le miniterrine della stessa linea delle tazze, erano le ultime e mi hanno fatto un ulteriore sconto, poi ho preso l'appendino in resina con i gatti che avevo già precedentemente puntato, due portauova che non avevo, un delizioso uccellino invernale in resina e non poteva mancare un pezzo della linea di porcellane americane.
On the third purchase I had much more time and enjoyed myself watching at each article: I found the mini cups of the same line of the dotted cups (they were the last ones and Ihave received a further discount); then I got the hook in resin with cats I had previously pointed to, two egg cups I hadn't, a delicious resin winter bird and... I could not miss a piece of the line of English porcelains, could I?

Cambiando genere, in questa foto ci sono un paio di acquisti fatti alla mia "prima visita" alla famosa Ikea, avvenuta a Maggio mentre ero su. Poche utili cose, alla giusta qualità e al giusto prezzo, e poi il cutter per i biscotti a forma di renna è bellissimo!

Changing gender, in this picture there are a couple of purchases I made at my 'first visit to the famous Ikea, which occurred in May. A few useful things at the right quality and right price, and the cookie cutter in the shape of reindeer isn't beautiful?!

Ultimo piccolo acquisto: questa simpaticissima balenottera portasapone. Mette allegria solo a guardarla.
Last small purchase: a very cute whale soap. It brings fun just looking at it.

Veniamo ora ai miglioramenti/abbellimenti. Quello più vecchio, che non avevo ancora postato (che scandalo!) è questa mensola ad angolo per la cucina: finalmente un posto dove mettere tutti i ricettari e le spezie!
Now time for the home improvements. The oldest one, I had not yet posted (shame on me!), is this corner shelf for the kitchen: finally a place where I can put all the recipe books and the spices!

Sempre mensole ma questa volta fatte da mio padre su mia indicazione: questa è per la sala (ma il quilt è temporaneo, ne farò uno nuovo... suggerimenti?)...
Again shelves, but this time they are made by my father on my request: this is for the dining room (but the quilt is temporary, I'll make a new one... suggestions?)...

... e quest'altra è per il bagno. Non sono un amore? Grazie, papi!

Che ne pensate di questo angoletto della mia cucina? Ci sono anche due nuovi pezzi Egan che non vi avevo ancora mostrato poggiati su due porcellane verdi a forma di foglie.

Sembra che ultimamente sia sempre in perenne ritardo su tutto... e ormai le foto accumulate si stanno facendo davvero troppe. Mi perdonerete, quindi, se sarò un po' stringata sul testo del post, del resto le foto parlano da sole.

Tocca ora agli arrivi/acquisti: il primo, in ordine temporale, è quello da Hancock's of Panducah, quasi interamente orientato sul quilting e gli accessori necessari.

Prima di salutarvi, avete notato le nuove icone stagionali e le due gif che adornano questo post? Sono firmate Monjardin, una linea che adoro! Vi lascio con la foto della mia ricetta: tortiglioni con fave e cotto di tacchino a cubetti. Alfredo ha borbottato quando se li è trovati davanti, ma s'è ricreduto assaggiandoli e alla fine ha sentenziato: "Be', si possono rifare!". Meno male.

Ehilà! È un po' che non riesco ad aggiornare sito, blog e album... e in effetti, dopo quasi un mese che giriamo come delle trottole (spero di potervi presto mostrare perché), mi sento proprio come il topino qui sopra. Ad allietare i miei rientri a casa c'era sempre qualche pacchetto degli ordini fatti, ve li mostro in ordine rigorosamente sparso.

Ma in pole position c'è certamente la bella sorpresa che ho ricevuto venerdì sera: andando, come sempre, sul blog di Lucy Kate Crafts, ho scoperto di aver vinto il giveaway e che presto questo delizioso cagnolino, di nome Rusty, arriverà nella mia casetta.

Eccomi tornata, come promesso anche se con parecchio ritardo, con le foto dei regali che ho avuto per il mio compleanno. Il più grosso, dicevo, l'ho ricevuto prima di Natale: la Quiltmaster 50T, da mio padre.
A ruota seguono due pensierini a tema dal mio fidanzato: questo delizioso gattino della Egan...

Questo invece è il gentilissimo pensiero della mia cara amica Elena. Il cuscinetto è davvero un amore; purtroppo sono intollerante alla lavanda, ma mi piace troppo per "metterlo da una parte" così lo svuoterò e cambierò l'imbottitura. Anche la ballerina è spiritosissima. Grazie moltissimo per i pensieri che hai sempre per me!
