Confesso che tutte le sere metto via la statuine e lo richiudo per timore che le mie gatte "gli facciano la festa" nottetempo... è troppo bello! Ci sono anche i tre re magi!

Ma possibile che io sia sempre in ritardo con i post?!
Prima che finisca il mese, devo mostrarvi i bei regali che ho ricevuto per il mio compleanno, che per la cronaca è stato esattamente tre settimane fa.

Before the month ends, I have to show you the beautiful gifts I received for my birthday, which - for the record - was exactly three weeks ago.

Per i miei ospiti di quel giorno avevo preparato una nuova ricetta, gentilmente presentata dal mio Folletto degli auguri Egan, regalo di mio papà: i cuori di mela, ricetta di Sara.

... e il portaformine. Il cosa?, direte voi. Be', era una mensolina deliziosa ma un po' troppo stretta per i barattoli, così ho pensato di sfruttarla per mettere le formine per i biscotti, che non so mai come sistemare.
... and Molds holder. The what?, you say. Well, the shelf was cute but a bit too tight for the cans, so I thought I'd use it to take the molds for cookies I never know where to put.

Avete notato le mie formine nuove? Sissi, le ho comprate all'inizio dell'anno su Plurimix point e mi sono arrivate in un lampo. Chissà se indovinate a cosa serve quello stretto e piccolo al centro....
Have you noticed my new molds? I bought in the first days of January on Plurimix point and they came in a flash. I wonder if you can guess what is it the small and tight one in the center...

Summer 2010 - Shopping, stash, gifts and subscriptions

Questo sarà un post un po' tedioso: vi mostro un po' di cosine che mi sono state regalate, che mi sono regalata, che ho regalato e altre, infine, arrivate per abbonamento. I miei amati libri fanno sempre la parte del leone, meritando un post a parte, così pure gli acquisti per la casa; trovate tutte le foto al completo sul mio album online.
This post will be a bit tedious: I'll show you some things I've been gifted by people and by myself, gifts I made and subscriptions' arrivals. My beloved books always get the most part, deserving a separate post, as well as the purchases I've made for my home; you'll find all the other photos on my online album.

Prima parte: regali fatti (agli altri).
Questi due pacchetti, simili ma con qualche piccola differenza, sono state due "coccole" a sorpresa per la mie due amiche Beatrice e Martina, entrambe in dolce attesa al momento dell'arrivo (ma la prima ha già partorito).
Giacché, di solito, le neomamme si vedono dirottate tutte le attenzioni verso il neonato, ho voluto coccolarle con questi dolcetti abruzzesi e una fragolina cucita.

1st part: gifts made (to others).
These two packages, similar but with little differences, were "surprise cuddlings" for my two friends Beatrice and Martina, both pregnant at the time of arrival (but the first has already given birth). Since, typically, all the attentions are diverted from mothers towards the baby, I wanted to cuddle them with these sweets from Abruzzo and a sewn strawberry.

Ho raccolto pazientemente i punti del Gourmet e mi son fatta arrivare questa cuccetta...

... e questa bellissima ciotola; anche il fidanzato e mio padre che hanno contribuito si son visti recapitare le cuccette, vi posto anche la foto di Miko, la gatta di mio padre, ben felice della sua nuova cuccetta (al contrario di Ronny che l'ignora).

Seconda parte: regali fatti (a me stessa).
Questi sono piccoli regali che mi sono fatta, approfittando di varie offerte e/o promozioni. Per primo, un telefono "muletto" ad un prezzo davvero scontato ma il mio primo touch screen: l'LG KP500 Cookie.

2nd part: gifts made (to myself).

These are small gifts that I made, taking advantage of various offers and/or promotions. First, a secondary telephone taken for a very discounted price but my first touch screen: the LG KP500 Cookie.

Ho acquistato questa borsa per la mia bridge all'Ipercoop di Avezzano ad un prezzo stracciato, circa 10 euro: ho girato un sacco di negozi, supermercati e negozi online, e borse di queste dimensioni e con tutte queste comode tasche, costavano uno sproposito. Un vero colpo di fortuna!
I bought this bag for my bridge at Ipercoop in Avezzano at a bargain price, around 10 €: I ooked for it in a lot of shops, supermarkets and online retailers, and camera bags, of this size and with all these handy pockets, cost a blunder. What a stroke of luck!

Terza parte: regali ricevuti e altri arrivi.
Come già vi raccontavo in un post precedente, ho ricevuto diverse piacevoli visite quest'estate, e tutti hanno avuto un pensiero per me. Manuela e i suoi bimbi mi hanno fatto tutti questi regali. Non solo: a Maggio mi ha regalato anche questo splendido termometro da parete della Thun, che ho appeso solo quest'estate in bagno perché avevo paura a riportarmelo in treno. Oss, Manu.

3rd part: gifts received and other arrivals.
As already told you in a previous post, I received several nice visits this summer, and everyone had a thought for me. Manuela and her children have gifted me all these cute items:a cat bag, a date, a wooden little kitten and two summer pijamas. Not only: in May she also gifted me this beautiful Thun wall thermometer, I hung it only this summer in my bathroom because I was afraid to bring it back by train.

Mio fratello e la sua compagna mi ha procurato questo particolare accendino a fiamma fissa chiamato "Dumbo": utilissimo, anche se bisogna farci un po' attenzione.
My brother and his partner gave me this particular fixed flame lighter called "Dumbo": very useful, although I have to put a little attention.

Questa sciarpa me l'ha regalata la moglie di mio cugino, Carolina: è una sciarpa fatta a mano con i prodotti locali da un'associazione di sole donne chiamata "Manos del Uruguay". Soffice e calda, e pure nei colori che piacciono a me: grazie, cugina!
My cousin's wife, Carolina, has gifted me this peculiar scarf, hand made with local product by a group of only women called "Manos del Uruguay". Soft and warm, and with colors I love: thank you, cousin!
